Three decades after the artist’s death, the iGavel sale coincides with a rare Amorsolo exhibition in seven of the Philippines most distinguished museums.

    Amorsolo’s works are known for their interesting use of light while capturing the essence of Philippine culture. The volume of his work is believed to be around 10,000 pieces, and have become a national treasure throughout his homeland.

    The painting included in the iGavel sale depicts two bathers by a river, an often seen Amorsolo theme. This work has an auction estimate price of $20,000 to $30,000.

    Collectors will have the opportunity to visit iGavel’s New York City gallery to catch a first-hand glimpse of the artwork. The collection will be in exhibition at 229 E 120th St. from October 20-24, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
